Just two minutes into the game, Giuliano Simeone dispossessed Jonathan Tah and delivered a cross, but Julian Alvarez's curling shot from the left side of the penalty area went just wide. In the 24th minute, Konrad Laimer broke down the right wing, chipped the ball over a defender, and then fired a shot towards the far corner that went just wide. In the 27th minute, Laimer delivered a lobbed pass from the right side of the penalty area, but Kane's shot from the center went wide.

The second half began with both sides switching ends. In the 46th minute, Michael Olise passed the ball back from the edge of the penalty area, and Joshua Kimmich's long-range shot was brilliantly saved by Jan Oblak. In the 54th minute, Bayern finally broke the deadlock: Robin Le Normand made a clearance error in the penalty area, and Karl intercepted the ball and chipped it into the net to give Bayern the lead.

Both sides then exchanged attacks, with Bayern maintaining a slight advantage. In the 66th minute, Alvarez's through ball created a dangerous opportunity, but Marcos Llorente's low shot was saved by Manuel Neuer. In the 73rd minute, Dayo Upamecano sprinted from midfield to the edge of the penalty area before unleashing a shot that was palmed away by Oblak. In the 74th minute, Kane delivered a long cross, and Laimer fired a shot from the right side of the penalty area to extend Bayern's lead.

In the 81st minute, Kimmich took a corner kick from the left, and Upamecano headed the ball into the net at the far post, but the goal was disallowed due to a prior foul. Neither team managed to score again, and Bayern Munich ultimately won 2-0.
