Javier Aguirre: This victory was very important for the team, and the team's overall performance deserves praise.

After Valencia's 1-0 victory over Elche in La Liga, head coach Javier Aguirre gave an interview to Valencia's radio station, sharing his thoughts on the match.

After the match, Javier Aguirre said: "This victory is crucial for the team, after all, we had failed to win in three consecutive games, and we have a match against Real Madrid coming up next. We must do everything we can to avoid the points gap from widening further and not let ourselves fall further behind in the competition."

"Getafe and Espanyol have both secured three points, and if we fail to achieve the same result, our situation in the standings will become even more precarious. Therefore, this match is of great significance to us, not only because the victory itself is crucial, but also because the team's overall performance deserves recognition."

"Winning a game in La Liga is no easy feat. Every team gives their all, not only running and tackling intensely on the field, but also striving to showcase their best performance."

Finally, regarding Sadiq Umar's return to the team, Javier Aguirre added: "His return is undoubtedly good news for everyone. In addition, we had a chance to extend our lead to 2-0, but I'm not quite sure why that attack didn't turn into a goal. Elche also created some threatening chances, but in any case, we are very happy to finally win."
