Vitality headquarters was ransacked; CEO: My heart is filled with deep sorrow.

Fabian Devede (ID: Neo), co-founder and CEO of Vitality, released a statement on Saturday confirming that the club's headquarters had indeed been stormed and looted by protesters.

Large-scale violent clashes erupted in several French cities on Saturday during the latest round of demonstrations against school closures and rising living costs. Vitality's Paris headquarters, V.Hive, one of France's most prominent esports clubs, was also involved in the clashes.

According to multiple sources, protesters not only smashed V.Hive's windows and stole a large amount of supplies such as chairs, team uniforms, and computer equipment, but also some of the trophies previously won by Vitality's CS2 team disappeared.

After the incident, Neo responded on the X platform overnight. He wrote: "Looking back, V.Hive originated from a child's dream. He was introduced to and fell in love with esports in an internet cafe, back when home internet access was extremely expensive."

"Since opening, we have always set our hourly gaming fee at €3.50. This is no accident. We have always hoped that teenagers and people with limited incomes could come and enjoy games, meet others, and share their passions at a lower cost. Despite inflation, we have never raised our fees."

“V.Hive is also a symbol of our maturity. It embodies our vision: esports is not just something behind the screen, but something that brings people together, fosters new communication, creates shared memories, and builds connections between people.”

"Our achievements in Shanghai just now feel like a dream. Today, however, I am thousands of kilometers away watching a part of myself vanish into nothingness."

"The right to demonstrate is a fundamental freedom that I am willing to defend with my life. I thank those who act for their beliefs, but looting and vandalism should never be part of such demands."

"Tonight, I feel only deep sorrow."
