Eddie Nketiah: This victory is crucial for the team and gives us more confidence to prepare for the next game.

Crystal Palace striker Eddie Nketiah highly praised the team's performance after their victory over Fulham and advancement to the quarterfinals of the English League Cup, commending the players for demonstrating a professional level of play.

With eight minutes remaining in the first half, Oscar Mingueza created an attacking opportunity with a brilliant dribble and delivered a precise cross. Eddie Nketiah followed up calmly and slotted the ball into the net. This winning goal helped Crystal Palace eliminate Fulham and advance to the quarterfinals of the EFL Cup.

In a post-match interview with Crystal Palace TV, Eddie Nketiah spoke about his excellent performance here, saying , " I've always had a pretty good record here. It's always a happy thing to be able to come here, compete, and ultimately win. Of course, there were some very difficult stages in the game, and we had to persevere and grit our teeth to overcome the difficulties. The team didn't get much offensive support, and we had already anticipated that this game would not be easy."

"Compared to our opponents, we made more significant rotations to our squad. This created valuable playing opportunities for many players, allowing them to prove their abilities through the game. I believe the whole team displayed a very professional performance in this match."

Eddie Nketiah has scored at Craven Cottage for three consecutive seasons, with each goal coming from a different domestic competition. Meanwhile, Crystal Palace have won all three of their away matches against their opponents, maintaining a perfect record.

However, this goal may be Eddie Nketiah's most memorable moment at Craven Cottage. Receiving a cross from Oscar Mingosa, he displayed excellent goalkeeping awareness, quickly controlling the ball and scoring with a precise touch.

Speaking about the brilliant goal-scoring combination, Eddie Nketiah said , " I seized the opportunity very well. I know Oscar Mingesa's ability, and he has provided me with many good passes in training. We have gradually developed a rapport. I knew that as long as I seized the opportunity and got into a favorable position before the defenders, I would have a chance to score. I am really happy to have been able to score."

“This victory is very important to us, allowing the team to prepare for the upcoming quarter-finals with a more positive mindset. The next match will be an exciting challenge. We always crave the championship, and now we truly have the opportunity to achieve that goal.”
