Jaisl emphasized that Newcastle would field their strongest lineup in the League Cup with the same attitude.

Newcastle United, nicknamed the "Magpies," will travel to England to face Everton, nicknamed the "Toffees," in the fourth round of the 2026/27 EFL Cup. Jaisl stated that his team will approach the competition with the same seriousness and will field their best lineup against Everton.

In an earlier Premier League match, Newcastle United defeated Crystal Palace 2-0 after goals from William Osura and Harvey Barnes.

Newcastle manager Jaissler said, "Given the historical significance of this competition to the club, my mindset remains unchanged, and we will field the strongest possible lineup. Even in away games, we still receive tremendous support from the fans. And even on weekdays, 8,000 fans are willing to travel with the team and cheer us on, which is truly special."

"This fully demonstrates the importance of this tournament to the fans, and we will treat the game with the same attitude and give it our all. The fans have high expectations for the team, and after winning this tournament, they have already tasted the joy of victory."

Reflecting on the previous match against Crystal Palace, Jaisl said, "We did the basics better in the second half, as we usually do at halftime, and we focused on discussing the team's potential and what areas we can continue to improve."

“After regaining possession, we played more aggressively and improved our ball control with a more rational formation. Now, we need to build on that and continue to improve. The team has shown consistency, and we deserved that victory.”

Regarding the condition of some players, Jaissle said, "I don't want to put too much pressure on Livramento, nor do I want to add unnecessary pressure to the medical team. This is my usual approach when dealing with player injuries."

“I can assure you that I see him undergoing rehabilitation training with a very professional attitude every day. He trains hard and seriously, and I hope he can return as soon as possible and maintain a stable physical condition after rejoining the team.”

In addition, Jaisl said, "Fernandez Pardo and Lewis Miley are still doubtful for the match, and it is uncertain whether they will be able to participate. We do not want to take any additional risks for either of them and hope they can recover and return as soon as possible."
