Hayden Hackney said, "I started in the first game of the new season and then didn't make the squad for a while. So it feels great to contribute a goal and an assist and to end the game well."

“I’ve always done my best to help and contribute to the team off the ball, and it’s great to be able to score goals and provide assists now.”

In addition, Everton will face Fleetwood Town in the League Cup quarterfinals, after the League Two side eliminated Premier League champions Arsenal on penalties in the fourth round.

Hayden Hackney said, "We are looking forward to this game. They have done very well against Arsenal before, so this will definitely not be an easy game. We will prepare well and look forward to this match."

“We had been on an unbeaten run for a while, and our last two opponents were both very tough. So this game is very important, and we need to rediscover our winning form. Hopefully, we can continue this momentum and put on a good performance in the next game.”
