Redick praised the Lakers' excellent defense and rebounding ability.

In another game of the 2026/27 NBA regular season, the Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Los Angeles Clippers 103-87, thanks to contributions from Quentin Grimes, Collin Sexton, and Austin Reeves. JJ Redick stated that he was impressed with the team's rebounding and defensive performance.

According to the data, Quentin Grimes scored 23 points and 5 assists in this key game, Collin Sexton scored 21 points and 2 assists, while Austin Reeves contributed 16 points and 1 assist for the Los Angeles Lakers.

Los Angeles Lakers head coach JJ Redick said, "Vanderbilt, Mamuklashvili, and Collin Sexton played exceptionally well and helped us win this game. In the NBA, it's often the team that plays more aggressively that wins, and grabbing 17 offensive rebounds is truly outstanding."

“I really like Collin Sexton’s performance and admire his strong competitive spirit. In addition, I would not necessarily consider Mattis Thybulle’s shooting performance as an extra surprise, because we have always thought that he is a player who is good at catch-and-shoot and three-pointers. However, his shooting touch is really excellent right now.”

When discussing the Los Angeles Lakers' defensive performance, Redick said, "We still have a lot of areas where we need to improve, but we have the personnel to be an excellent defensive team because we have a very good defensive roster."
