Romano: Messi currently has no intention of returning to Newell's Old Boys.

According to Fabrizio Romano on Thursday, Lionel Messi is not currently considering a return to Newell's Old Boys.

Recent reports from Argentina suggest that Messi might return to Newell's Old Boys. Romano immediately responded, stating that any rumors regarding Messi's return are untrue.

Romano further pointed out that Messi currently has no intention of returning to Newell's Old Boys and has not held any negotiations with the club. He and his family are enjoying life at Inter Miami and hope to fulfill his current contract until 2028. Whether he continues to play for Inter Miami after 2028 depends on Messi's own wishes.

As one of the greatest footballers of our time, Messi has won four Champions League titles, ten La Liga titles, three Club World Cup titles, three UEFA Super Cup titles, seven Copa del Rey titles, seven Spanish Super Cup titles, two Ligue 1 titles, and one French Super Cup title with Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain. He also led Argentina to consecutive victories in the 2021 Copa America, the 2022 UEFA Europa League, the 2022 FIFA World Cup, and the 2024 Copa America, reaching the World Cup final three times during this period.

In July 2023, Messi joined Inter Miami on a free transfer. To date, he has made 122 appearances for Inter Miami, contributing 106 goals and 59 assists, and leading the team to one North American League Cup, one Supporters Shield, one MLS Eastern Conference Finals title, one MLS Cup, and one NAFFA Champions Cup.
