The Ballon d'Or awards ceremony was held in London in 2026, and England captain Harry Kane won the award for his outstanding performance, marking the first time he has received this honor in his career.

In the 2025/26 season, the 33-year-old Kane won the Bundesliga, the German Cup and the German Super Cup for Bayern Munich, and won the German Footballer of the Year and the European Golden Boot with his outstanding goal-scoring record.

At the 2026 World Cup, Kane contributed 6 goals for England and helped the Three Lions win third place.

It is worth mentioning that Kane, now 33, becomes the fifth English player to win the Ballon d'Or, and the first English player to win the award in nearly 25 years.
