Arsenal defeated Nottingham Forest 1-0 in the seventh round of the Premier League, thanks to a crucial second-half goal from Maduk. David Raya said the team showed a strong desire to win and believed that as long as they did the right things, they would eventually score.
In the 80th minute of the second half, Rice dealt with the defense and passed the ball to Maduk, who then entered the penalty area and fired a shot into the net, helping Arsenal break the deadlock 1-0.
Arsenal ultimately defeated Nottingham Forest 1-0 away from home. With their second consecutive win, Arsenal currently sit second in the league table with 18 points, three points behind leaders Manchester City.
Arsenal goalkeeper David Raya said, "We showed maturity and a strong desire to win. As long as we keep doing the right things, the goal will eventually happen."
“We had drawn 0-0 here in the past two years, so I think we showed great resilience this time and kept fighting for the win. Finally, through a few crosses and a brilliant pass from Saka, we managed to score thanks to Maduk.”
David Raya said, "Maduk is a special player. It means a lot to him to score the winning goal on such a difficult pitch against such a tough team, so I'm really happy for him."
On the other hand, Arsenal will travel to the Allianz Arena to challenge Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich in the third round of the Champions League.
David Raya also said, "Our comeback has been very strong, especially after the loss to Brighton. After that game, we waited 19 days before our next game. The way the team responded, their performance, and the process of getting back into form was incredible."
“I’m happy with the team’s performance in every game, but there are still areas we need to improve. However, we will take the positives in stride and are already looking forward to the next game.”
