The 2026 League of Legends World Championship has begun, with T1 facing off against LOS in the first match.
During a break from adjusting to the time difference and preparing for the upcoming match, T1 player Faker gave an interview to the media, discussing the team's preparation rhythm, his views on growth, and advice for newcomers.
When asked about their first-round opponent LOS and his top laner Zest, Faker gave a very pragmatic answer. Faker stated directly, "To be honest, we haven't had much time to thoroughly analyze LOS yet, so I don't think I'll have time to talk to him."
When asked if being at the top for so long might make it difficult to find someone to learn from, thus causing confusion about further growth, Faker gave a candid response: "About 10 years ago, there were fewer players and gamers. Among the players, I always thought I was the strongest, so at the time I felt there was nothing to learn from others."
“But recently, the overall level of competition has improved significantly, and players are approaching the game in a more systematic way. So there is a lot to learn, both in and out of the game. There is no limit to my improvement, so I believe I still have much more to learn.”
As for advice for new players competing in the World Championship for the first time, Faker said, "The World Championship happens every year. Don't put too much pressure on yourself. Treat it as the last competition of the year and just enjoy it." Currently, he is focused on adjusting to the time difference and leading the team in full preparation.
