Carlos Augusto: This victory is crucial for us and allows us to continue moving towards our goals in the tournament.

Brazilian wing-back Carlos Augusto gave an interview after scoring the winning goal against Shakhtar Donetsk. He once again stepped up in the right place at a crucial moment, scoring to secure the victory. He remains consistently prepared, confident, eager to contribute to the team, and fully committed to giving his all for Inter Milan. Whether it's making crucial defensive plays, actively participating in defensive runs, or scoring the decisive goal in the Champions League, he always steps up when needed.

Carlos Augusto remained highly focused, constantly seeking space to advance and creating threats with his exceptional speed. When Inter Milan encountered resistance, he reacted quickly, bursting behind the opponent's defense to receive a precise pass from Mkhitaryan and score, breaking the deadlock. This crucial goal not only secured Inter Milan's first European victory of the season but also added another highlight to his impressive performance this season.

Facing Shakhtar Donetsk goalkeeper Riznik, Carlos Augusto delicately slotted the ball towards the goal with the outside of his left foot. Before the ball had even fully crossed the goal line, the crowd erupted in thunderous cheers. He then celebrated excitedly, sliding to his knees in front of the North Stand, where he was immediately surrounded by his teammates who rushed to congratulate him .

After the match, Carlos Augusto said in an interview: "This victory is very important to us. The opponent is a strong team, and they showed a high level of passing and ball control. Every teammate performed very well, and we played quite well throughout the game. This goal was inseparable from Mkhitaryan's accurate pass, and I also want to thank Zielinski for creating the counter-attack opportunity. I am sincerely happy for the team's performance."

“This victory is very important to us and allows us to continue moving towards our goals in the competition. We never backed down in the face of challenges. The intensity of the Champions League is very high, and no team can maintain the initiative for 90 minutes. Shakhtar Donetsk has many talented players, including quite a few Brazilian players, but even in the final stages of the game, we successfully withstood the pressure from our opponents.”

"As for the red card decision, I didn't see the specific details at the time. They seemed to be looking for an opportunity to create this situation. However, we also want to dedicate this victory to Alessandro Bastoni. I'm happy with the team's performance because we wanted to win this game from start to finish."
