On October 26th local time, Finnish esports club ENCE announced that it had filed for bankruptcy reorganization. They will also cease all operations, including the CS2 project.
In their official statement, ENCE wrote: "To our players, staff and partners, thank you for everything you have done."
"Most importantly, thank you to our fans: you've been with us through every victory and defeat. None of this would have been possible without you."
Since entering the CS arena in April 2013, ENCE has garnered numerous accolades over its 13-year history. They have won the 2018 StarLeague of Legends International (SLi) Season 6 championship, the 2019 BLAST Pro Madrid championship, and the 2023 IEM Dallas championship, and reached the finals of the 2019 IEM Katowice.
In December 2023, ENCE sold its core squad to Falcons. Although they have undergone several rebuilds since then, the results have always been unsatisfactory.
After disbanding its original CS roster in March of this year, ENCE attempted to build a team with a strong local flavor. However, their VRS global ranking had already slipped to 103rd when they announced their bankruptcy.
ENCE's current roster is as follows:
Rifleman: Teme Kolwa (ID: teme)
Sniper: Alexi Lehtop (ID: millert)
Conductor: George Gahokize (ID: Schwarz)
Rifleman: Joe Holmes (ID: joeski)
Rifleman: Henry Ililetto (ID: HENU)
Coach: Alexi Jalli (ID: allu)
