Manager Andoni Iraola stated that Barcora consistently creates chances and is present in crucial positions.

In the 62nd minute of the second half, Wirtz played a through ball to Victor Muñoz, who followed up, entered the penalty area, dribbled past the defender, and fired a low shot into the net, leveling the score at 1-1 for Liverpool. In the 70th minute, McAllister chipped a pass into the penalty area, Barkola headed the ball down, and Isak controlled the ball against the defense before firing a shot into the net, giving Liverpool a 2-1 lead.
