Maresca on the coaching transition: "We are on the right track."

After undergoing a major overhaul involving the departure of a successful manager and several key players, Manchester City's new manager Enzo Maresca stated in the pre-match press conference that the team is on the right track.

Despite a major squad overhaul, Manchester City still leads the Premier League table with 21 points after 8 rounds, and is also making progress in the Champions League and League Cup.

Speaking about taking over this team undergoing a major transformation, Maresca admitted in an interview: "After so many years of glory, changing the head coach and letting go of many key players, rebuilding top competitiveness would normally take a long time. But what's valuable right now is that we already have extremely strong competitive strength on all fronts."

Maresca further emphasized the team's mindset during the transition phase: "Although there has been a huge change in personnel, the club remains competitive. We know that this level of overhaul requires patience, and the transition is far from over, but at this stage we must steadfastly continue down this path."

In an interview, Maresca stated that the competition in the Premier League is becoming increasingly fierce, in preparation for the upcoming match against Brighton, who are currently third in the league: "In previous seasons, there were Aston Villa and Newcastle United. Every year, one or two dark horses emerge in the Premier League."

"The gap between teams has narrowed dramatically. You can beat any strong opponent, but you can also drop points against any team at any time. It's unpredictable and full of variables, which is exactly what makes the Premier League so appealing to fans."
